I like the 'simulation' dump valves - a little speaker that whooshes when you change gear in your weedy NA Nova/Paxo/Corsa/Fiesta etc. :xxx:

hehe saw a horrible orange mk2 fiesta yesterday. massive spoiler on top of it. disgusting thing so i drove up next to it to take a photo and saw the owner was inside!

Hahahaha, lol, those things make me piss myself. I was in Bristol late one night just before xmas, was waiting at a set of lights and heard this really weird sound. Looked behind me and couldn't see anything. Youngish lad in a car I couldn't quite see. As we pulled away the noise erupted again. To my glee, I realised that he'd fitted a fake dump valve to this car and started laughing uncontrollably.

 

I slowed right down to try and get him to drove past. He kept jabbing the accelerator. This noise kept appearing again and again. Boy, it sounded absolutely hilarious. I look over and he was looking over acting all smooth and cool in his fake turbo charged yogurt pot.

 

It was an N reg Calibra with a mix match of distasteful body kit in a multitude of colours. Huge Jimmy Hill style front bumper and miserable wheels.

i know of one just like that in bristol with a Turbo Engine though.

stupid number plates that have been trimmed and shit so there is literally a bubble shape around each letter where they have kept the 1 inch minimum border!! hahahaha

Worst I saw was a boost guage in an NA Mr2. Mind you it was the Shock Mr2 so you could take your pic of the nasty bits lol.

LOL, I'm not that thick. I do know the difference between a Calibra Turbo and an NA. I've owned a Calibra Turbo for a short while. From the exhaust note, I'd have said it was an 8v, not even a 16v. VX made the C20NE in that car all the way till the end of production.

 

The electric one has varying times of delay and also tend to go off half way through revving, not when the accelerator is released. They also make a consistent noise, unlike real valves which vary in volume dependant upon amounts of boost being released.

 

Seriously, if you heard one, you'd know it was blatantly not a real one.
