Whats spose to hold the battery in on a jap TT?

Had to fit a new one today and its a little sloppy as its a little smaller than the old one, that kinda just sat there ok. Its currently held in by string and foam packing....

Jap battery terminals are smaller :( You can buy 'battery post collars' which space them out enough for the clamp to grip ok, or you can clamp something metal in the gap to allow it to grip.

Or find a Jap stock clamp from a breaker I suppose.

The battery is held in place by a metal bar that bolts to the bulkhead and to a long threaded rod that clips on to the battery shelf in the engine bay,

Andy Z is bound to have the two bits. Or David at riceRocket.

im just waiting on a Bling Chromed one coming back from the platers.

WTF?? I think Pete shrimps got confused here as I thought we where talking about the collars for the terminals not the battery clamp it's self??
