just bought my first z a fairlady NA swb targa top :dance: an i cant figure out how to work the cruz control. ive pressed the switch on the side of the dash an pressed set on the steerin wheel an tryed resume etc but cant get it to hold the speed am i doin somthing wrong or does it just not work???? :headvswal

Mine plays up like this sometimes. But the straits in Scotland are to short to use it much anyway :)

Sounds to me like you're doing everything right, it's just not playing anymore :(

 

Perhaps try taking the cover off the wheel and checking the connections to the buttons as a first step. After that you'd better ask someone else, I'm not that technical!!!!

what speed are you trying this at. I find mines only works between 38-68 mph

Also, ensure that your clutch is fully up as the clutch switch will immediately disable cruise. Try putting your foot under it and pull it up slightly before setting your cruise speed... My old UK car had this problem...

Thats just another excuse to go out in the car m8.

Jap spec cruise control only works up to a certain speed and after that it won't set.

You can change a resistor to set it for our UK speeds.

There's a write-up somewhere on this.

got it sorted now i went out an dunno what i did but works every time now kicks in at just over 40mph cheers ppl
