Have you had any work done by them? What sort of level are they at (just rebuilds, or major upgrades)?

I'm also looking for somewhere local (Manchester) to do the work on my 300. Looked at Performance Heaven so far, but hadn't heard of C&S before.

You are best ringing them and asking yourself really.

Phil's your man

Yeah, I can just imagine the conversation now.

Me: " Hi there, are you any good at doing job xyz"

Garage: "No mate, we suck, try somewhere else"

I was kinda asking for independent opinions. I don't think I've gone in to a garage yet that has admitted it can't do something.

Not only is Phil tecnically brilliant but also a Z enthusiast. You are lucky to live within reach if you want work done on your Z!

Phil is your man, knows the Z inside out. Fitted all my new suspension last yr and due to refit all my new new suspension in a few weeks time.

first off, to what degree do you want to mod your engine? youre going to have to be a bit more specific.

But as above, Phil is the man.!!!

Phil knows Zeds "inside out" - he is a previous 300ZX owner and forum member (PhilZ). He usually has a few zeds in his garage being worked upon at any time.

I'm not sure how "independent" you want the recommendations to be, all the people on this thread (plus many more) trust him with their Zeds – just give him a ring, or better still, pop down and meet the guy.

Pretty much everything on the engine is going to be modded. Injectors, turbos and loads more.

I was just looking for people who had work done by them (like yourself I'm guessing). I spoke to Phil yesterday and he seems an ok sort of guy. I am going to pop down to the garage at some point in the next couple of weeks. As I said before, I'm just looking for independent opinions - not necessarily what the garage themselves say they can do, but what satisfied customers say they can do. I have had problems with my other car (500+ hp RX-7) with 2 garages now, one of which I'm in the final stages of a court case with. Both of them seemed like decent garages until they messed me around. I just don't want to take a chance again. My RX is getting sold as soon as it returns from the current garage, then all of the cash is going in to a mega 300. I had a 300 before the RX, and have decided that's the route I want to go back to.
