Hi. After owning my first Zed for all of a week things were going well until yesterday I put my foot down, it down shifted (auto), the turbos kicked in, but instead of accelerating at a ridiculous rate like before the car kind of juddered a bit and didnt speed up at all! It almost feels like traction control, but cant be at motorway speeds. Any ideas? I can still accelerate if I apply power slowly...

sounds like you're in safety boost - do a search, and run a diagnostic... (easy to do - with ignition on, engine off - pull back passenger carpet, unscrew floor panel, turn potentiometer clockwise for 2 seconds, turn back and dash will flash the error codes).

do a search first though - you can then go in to mode 2 but I can't be arsed to type anymore ;)

good luck

Sorted. Loose hose on one of the turbos, had no clip on it. Put on a jubilee clip from homebase and I have boost again. I like repair jobs that cost £1.25!

Was a bit worried. Only had it just over a week!

sounds like you need to get it checked over to see what other clips might be missing next one could cost a lot more than £1.25 !!!!!!!!!!!!! :nelson:

Get the car looked over thoroughly. I know from experience my 'fully serviced' one japanese owner with paperwork had the cambelt from hell, water pump dying with old age etc. etc. Your piece of mind will be worth the fee......... :nana2:

I presume you still have a standard chip and that's what probably saved you from a very large repair bill.

As most aftermarket chips have removed this protection and in a case like this your engine would have gone bang.
