Excellent !! Pity about some innaccuracy.

In "1989" they restyled the 300zx with a more curvy design
....err no.. where the Z31 was dissapointing and an embarassment to the Z-car range...the Z32 was far more than a restyle, it was a completely new car that just happened to share the same name.

The last Z32 rolled of the production lin in 1996.....
nope, only sales to US market ended in 1996, production continued to 2000 in kapan.

Yeah Si, all in the last 10-12 minutes tho.

did u record it?

Kapan? lol

BTW, any nice footage of the Z32.

Damn keyboard ;) Yep :D see it being built in factory, then it showed each of the famous Z32 TV adverts.....but they look way better in full resolution on a Widescreen Tv than they do in low res on a PC monitor

You are videoing it I hope Dave so that I can come over on Thursday night to watch it!

Unfortunatly not....but Im going to hook up the DVD-R if it repeats

As I posted the yesterday in Q&A, it was at lunch time Monday, so I watched it then. As for recording it, it had already started when I switched on, but i did notice a web address at the end of the prog, so I went on-line, and you can buy the individual programms on DVD direct from them, so i did (that's before I found out that it was on again today :headvswal bloody typical, if I hadn't it could have been months if not ever before they showed it again) Anyway so I've got the full DVD coming :D persumably in NTSC and region 1, no worries ;) both my DVD and Tv play NTSC, and I can soon convert it to region 2 ;)

If you need me to store a copy at my house as a backup, then I would be willing to do so, just let me know how much ;)

I'd also be up for a copy if that's OK. Obviously willing to pay for it and postage etc...

And, only if you can be arsed.

I'll stop it there, no further requests please. I have a plan 'a-foot', to, maybe, include it within my new 2006 show DVD as a twin pack DVD collection, as part of the second disc, that'll include any other footage not catorgerised within the main 'Show' disc. Nothing confirmed as of yet, so please don't ask ;)

Keep you all posted :D

There is some truth in those statements:

The first Z32 rolled off the Japanese production line in July 1989 - which is why you sometimes see Z32's on an F-plate in autotrader.

The first Z32 in USA, Europe and Australia was 1990.

then at the other end...

Nissan officially ceased production of the UK Z32 in 1994, although the number of cars made, meant it still sold for another year or so. The new emission regulations introduced in the USA in 1997 meant the Z32 would fail, so it was dropped in 1996, which also coinsided with its withdrawal from Australia.

Finally, last Japanese models stopped sometime in 2000. (I say sometime, becausethe book I have which states all of above was poduced in 1999, and it does state that in Japen the Z32 is still being produced.)

All these stats available in "Datsun/Nissan 280/300 ZX": ISBN 1-901295-06-0

I definitely recommend this book it's got lots of little known facts about all the Z models, including the SMZ, Veilside Combat Z, Version R and Version S. A list of accessories available for the 1999spec: parking sensors, ROOF RACK! etc...

nice idea Dave! maybe the club should have it's own editing room where you can sit down with reels of tape and DVDs and splice together the next compilation! :D

Sounds like a good idea to me :D Especially as this little 2.6 Celeron isn't really up to the task, I could do with a 3.4 P4 (the plan is already in motion for that though :D ) Then there will be No stopping meeeeeeeeeeeee....... Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha (in a sinister styley ;) )
