Hi bods!

As part of the 60K service i'm doing the cam seals, or attempting! The seals are well and truly stuck. I've tried heating them, wd40, seal pullers (home made and bought) and now i'm stumped! They seem to be melted in place either that or the guy who do it last glued em in! :mac1:

I think i'm gonna have to start stripping the engine down, but before i do does anyone have any ideas? Have no pics ATM but it's the intake cam seals i'm doing.

Help much appreciated

Cheers

wtf you doin LOL

get a fine flat bladed screwdriver and knock it in with a hammer then peel them out,be careful not to damage the cam mating surface though, use old seal to drift new cam seal in place

no need to strip engine surely :x:

lol i figured they should pop out but they just disintegrate around the bit i pull on ! After more investigation i have found the drivers side pcv hose where it joins the intercooler pipe has broken off and been stuck back on with loads of electrician tape :mac1: and on both valve covers there are no gaskets just a lot of silicone sealant :mac1: :mac1:

So tomorrow i'm gonna get the plenum off and see what else i can find.

I sense i'm gonna be spending large amounts of money soon!
