Shabina Begum wore jilbab gown to school and was sent home and asked to return in school uniform.

Now, there's an uproar!

Sorry, but it's not racist, in much the same way as I was NOT allowed to wear trainers.

There is a reason for a school uniform!

Pisses me off people using racism as an excuse for everything. Did she seriously think that wearing something other than what she was asked to wear would be ok?

It's behaviour like hers that actually incites religious and racial intollerance rather than discourages it.

Richard

and i think a LOT of muslims/ethnics would agree

as things like that just put the majority who want to integrate in a bad light

In the words of monty python

"STONE HER"

If she weighs more than a duck and she is made of wood...then she must be a witch!!!

Burn her anyway!!!!!!

Fookin classic...

race and religon aside.

she chose to join a school with a clothing policy adn knew of it before she joined.

She, not her parents or any other decided to change her clothes.

My views.

She should be charged for all the court costs that we had to fork out.

We should take a leaf out of the French laws. (arrg cant beleive im doing this). In France the national law states that NO religeous dress or symbols are allowed at school. It an accross board law, nothing for everyone. 1 law 1 people. as it shoudl be.

I should send my son to school in a hoody, nike's, some bling and a trakky and say its national dress lol

For what its worth my Cousin went to that school in the early 80s and uniform was strict then and still is. Its so simple these are school rules if you want to attend this school you agree to the rules, if you dont then find another school !.

I went to a Boys school in Luton in the 80's and my sister & my wife went to the Girls school next door. White girls were not allowed to wear trousers at all ! if they went in trousers they were sent home and punished by the school, Muslims and some other religions were allowed to wear trousers and cover there heads. You want to talk about Human rights being broken have a word with my wife and sister they could rant for England on this subject  Its about time the rules were enforced for all people regardless of what Hipocritical religon you follow !

I saw this article today flicking through paper in work and I must say that it has made my day!

Get with the program!!

I am profoundly religeous, borderline extremist!

My god insists that I drive at 120mph at all times and if i don't it's a sin.

I must hide my face from people of other religons and non-religon, so i must have limo black tints all round.

If i get a ticket it's persicution and i'll revolt and detonate myself in a playground.

That statement sums up how pathetic all these religous simpletons are!

I'm really getting sick of this 'special needs' shit.

Just as some muslims are about to sentence to death some guy for converting to christianity. What the hell is wrong with people!!!!!!

Don't want to enter into this argument too much (well I just have!) but must admit that far too much seems to be blamed on religion these days. If people choose that they want to believe in God, Allah, the Buddah or whoever else and follow that way of life then fair play to them and they have my full respect but religion shouldn't be used as an excuse to get them out of trouble. In extreme cases such as the London bombings, September 11th, suicide bombers in Gaza Strip etc etc what is the excuse for this abominable behaviour? Religion!

I just don't like hypocrisy and one rule for one lot of people, one for the other which there seems to be far too much of these days.

All imho, Rich

Going for a :duffer: now!

Speaking of hypocrisy, muslims that live over here, get benefits and a decent way of life and then plan to bomb us and call us decadent and say we should all die!!! If that is not hypocrisy.

The alternative is for them to go back to living in the backward country they came from!!!!

I agree, if people want to live here and don't want to keep to the rules they know where the f***ing door is, rules are there for a reason and some people being ALLOWED to break them defeats the whole object, going back to the school thing either everyone without exception wears the uniform or no-one does. Stretching the rules just pi**es people off and creates jealosy and hatred

Half the reason why racism is becoming more commonplace in the uk, especially between those with different ethnic backgrounds. I could go on all night about political correctness and all the rest of it but it all stems from the do-gooders in this country trying to make themselves look better for higher status (M.Ps etc) and their not helping anyone
