After the success of Ferrybridge, How about a UK Annual meet.

Dont know if its been done yet but I think Ferrybridge is the biggest collective of Zeds ever. :)

So it got me thinking about how good a full UK meet would be.

Dont know if it'd be possible, but sort of summertime.

I know the JAE is on and most will go to that, but this would be at a different date and would be Zeds only.

I *believe* Sheffield *ahem* is in the centre of the country, fortunately for me :) Theres a HUGE car park that the M1 flyover looks down on, so we could see about getting that. Make a day of it and get Zed traders stands, burger vans etc.

If another location was picked Id deffo be up for it - reet enjoyed the ferrybridge meet

Rutland Water and Meridan suck balls for us Scottish members  , a direct line from Thurso to Poole is ~550 miles so halfway would be somewhere between Darlington and Penrith, but that isn't really fair either as N. Scotland is less heavily populated than S. england.

Maybe someone could find out who the most northerly and southerly members are and then work out somewhere in between. Although it probably wont matter to me as unless its in the 1st three weeks in July I wont be here, as I work overseas.

Id love to come down to a big meet like this and think that somewhere we can stay would be the best. Going to be a long drive from glasgow to anywhere but somewhere we can stay or camp and have a few beers would be worth the journey! Dont fancy the long drive home on the same night!

Vinni is spot on Matlock is a great place and as a meet we could all park up at Ryber Castle which is a Nice photo opportunity.

Saying that I will go anywhere

Just don't all PISS OFF when me backs turned like on Sunday

Yep, Matlock is great - Have been there lots of times - dont know how the Zeds would cope with parking tho as all the bloody bikes take it all up :)

Theres also Ladybower Dam (They still do flyovers once a year with a lancaster bomber and some spitfires).

I'd be happy to travel to Billing too tho ;)

Wasnt there a suggestion last year, about a place near Tamworth? think it was some stately home and a fair in the grounds, ideal for those who bring the kids. Seems quite centrally located with good motorway access?

i would have thought jays sugestion sheffield was spot on(im not just saying that cos i live down the road :D , i know the area he's thinking of, its literaly with in spiting distance of the M1, meadowhall shopping center is bang across the road(nice for the wives/girlfriends :D ), and its quite central enough to include the scottish contingent aswell,

but il be up for it where ever it is.

drayton manor? matty was looking into that a loooong time ago, before he sold his zed

We're gonna need a fookin big area for all of us then!!! Ok, so how many members still in existance that still own Z'eds do we have on here???? And all us regular guys that get on here virtually every day!! ;)

You don't !!! No of course not dude!!! :slap: Everyones welcome and it's always good to meet new people!!! I just meant space for number of Z'eds parking if this is a 300zx.co.uk meet!!!! ;)

Well according to here:

http://www.fatbadgers.co.uk/Britain/Facts.htm

we should all be meeting in Meriden, Warwickshire or Dunsop Bridge, Lancashire. :D

There is a large, free carp park by Dunsop Bridge which is a beautiful place but I know lots would get lost on the way LOL! Once got stuck in a car-high snow drift there for 8 hours but that's another story.

well count me in for a uk meet after the last turnout should be a right bobby dazzler!!!

Matlock is a nice place but the parking would be a nightmare , its always packed on sundays :headvswal .

Tamworth was mentioned , there,s Weston Park on the A5 , a huge stately home with grounds and parking to match, they have camping facilities for organised events. :duffer:

I have the perfect solution:

We meet in the north east convoy down the A1 to east london and carry on around the M25 travel along the M4 turn right and head north up the M5 carry on north on the M6 continue on the M74 and do a right at Glasgow onto the M8 do another right at Edinburgh and then down the A1 back to where it all started. Members can join the convoy as we pass their general location and drop off when they like picking up new partisipants along the way. No need for any car parks or venues just a rolling meeting.
