Would like a general idea of what cost is involved in fitting a bodykit by the professionals. I know what kit I want hence know the price of that but need to know the labour & sundries costs etc.

Also any recommendation on fitters.

Thanks

Depends on kit and the bodyshop doinit

Seems to vary so much, depends on when the bodykit arrives, how much prep its going to need, as with nearly anything fibreglass, it will need prepping and possibly reshaping, etc etc. Then, depends if they find any rust when stripping down.

I guess a basic respray (good one) im guessing will cost from 1200-1500 pounds, then upwards for fitting of bodykits. Like most things, you get what you pay for.

Im Not Really The Person To Ask But A Respray And Just A Simple Kit About £3500 To £4000 But If Your Going Wide Arch ,de Swagged, smoothed Rear, custom Paint Job Closer To The £7000 -£8500

all depends on where you go mate i must say ive been modifying cars for a long time and i know first hand how much some shops rob you blind :nono:

my last car had a house of kolor marble paint job the cheapest quote for a full paint job was £3k

my local bodyshop who i use and has a members 300zx in at the mo cost me £800 so shop around

A M8 of mine has a body shop and he just fitted a basic kit to a Z. he quoted £500 to spray and fit and said that he never wants to see one again. lol. The lad had bought a cheap kit costing about £450 for the front and rear bumpers and the 2 side skirts (UK TT 2+2) and it simply didn't fit at all. The skirts were not only too long but also molded the wrong shape so that they caught the bottoms of the doors, The rear bumper was designed to fit over a Jap style rear, his is a UK car, it wa also not quite wide enough and a bit too short so sort of bends in the rear quarter pannel. The front of the car had to be seriously cut and modded as did the new front bumper as it didn't fit at all, not even close..... Doesn't really help with fitting prices but keep it in mind when choosing a kit, a cheap one may work out very expensive in the long run so go for a good one and make sure that it's made for your model car, not just a Z32. ;)

there are paint jobs and ther aint. all im saying. if you can get a great sprayer at low cost, let us know as they dont normaly go hand in hand.

ive just been quoted 2k and thats for a full respary, new sills, all derusted, new front bumper and a boot skin.. and thats at a very well known place where i live.
