Hi

I have began taking my plenum off :hurl: and I discovered that my passenger side boost hose had a black substance in it. It was thick like oil, but smelled like petrol  There was not masses of it, but enough to cause me some concern. The drivers side was clear

I have had a quick look and came up with PCV problems. Would this be correct?? She is at about 80, 000 miles and I doubt these have been done in the past

The car smokes for about ten mins on a cold startup, but this disapears as soon as shes warm and I am pretty sure there is no smoke from boost.

Break the bad news gently guys, its been a bad day

Oh, by the way where is the best place to replace the boost hoses.

Cheers and Beers :duffer:

deffo the 1st place to start. get the valves & hoses. contact mike @ MJP :)

This is what mine started doing.

Then I realised the rear oil seals on the turbos had gone.

Is the smoke grey?

(dont want to start an argument but...) is it de-catted?

I hope it is your PCV mate.
