Im having a great time with cars at the moment zeds out of action and today my van has broken down mechanic thinks that the problem with my van might be the fuel pump guess how much for a diesal pump from vauxhall..................£2800 :shock: have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous all I can say is b*llocks it must be the gold diamond encrusted type or something

Only vauxhall can fit due to there being a ecu on the fuel pump that needs to be programmed to work with the car and the key oh forgot to add just to through some irony into it the only car that I have that starts and runs is my old z31 that im trying to sell great

Nissan quoted me just under a grand for a whole new steering rack, when they failed my MOT on a worn bush.

 

Took it elsewhere and they passed it, and the next year, and the next without work...

 

Wouldn't touch Nissan with a bargepole anymore for service/MOT, shame we have to buy parts from them :(.

 

I bet standard turbos aren't cheap.

LOL! had to price up a V8 for an old Merc S420. was £12k! exchange! :shock:

i drive a corsa 1.5d at the mo. cost me £500, deisel pump was sticking open, so priced a replacment they wanted £1500, i could buy 3 full cars for that.

I'm currently in the process of re-building a diesel 1958 BMC 2.2 from a boat. The fuel pump is ok, but if I had to replace it - it would be mega bucks from what I've been told.

Yes your right it almost rights my van off its only worth 4k for the van found a guy who reckons he can do it for a grand but still 1k for a fuel pump crazy supercharger gets put on hold again:(
