breathter kit fitment

Fitted my breather kit o/s was tight but ok, but the n/s was to tight and the hose kinks whichever way I put it around, and having followed the instructions too the letter. then there is the reducing bushes which are not shown to be needed unless youre supposed to fit the origional breather pipes as well( which have restrictors and wire brush inside) but it says remove and replace.

anyway here some photos I ended up splitting the o/s hose with a 90 degree elbow to stop it kinking.

i had same problem, but i went out and bought a packet of 15mm 90degree copper elbows cut and joined pipe threw away over half of it.

did you put back the brushes then SYKO?

i thought some jap mechanic had broken one off in there. LOL

Syko. Those reducing bushes are suppose to go into the Mio filters I think. So that it is easier to get the hose over. Thats were I have put mine anyway smile.gif but now I have a vac leak on idle frown.gif I think it's because they are not that tight in the filters. I'll sort it out tomorrow anyway.

Rob.

i also have a vacum leak now i think it is those compression clips, not really good with the soft hoses. im gonna get me a pack of jubilee clips and redo it.

no I didn.t fit them reducing bushes on the mio filters as I could just about fit the hose over it (tight fit) couldn,t even get them crimps over them as well.

no air leaks though!.

as for them internal brushes thingy that was on the original hose I didn,t fit them cos it says replace with the mio filter assembly

and presume the only purpose was to stop exess oil being sucked which is what the mio filters are supposed to do!!

FFS!!! Is this kit specifically for our cars then or Robin Reliants with 3.5 litre Rover V8 Turbo conversions???

Turbo Technics, you take months to even deliver the kit, then the owner has to bin half of it to replace with suitable parts. WTF is going on??? mad.gif

People take the piss about SE??? FFS!!! mad.gif
