on my way home today i saw a white zed in a layby near pontypool, went past and turned and came back to him, poor guys bonnet was covered with coolant!!!

 

interior was steamed up like mad.

 

his matrix heater had blown and the interior was soaked, it was an import on a "g" plate

 

expalined how to do a bypass for him and how to refil, i didnt have my box of coolant with me otherwise i would have filled him up and done the bypass for him (i still got loads left and hose and clips took out the other day when cleaning boot!)

 

gave him the clubs addy and ztech and mike feenys numbers..

 

so hopefully he will pop in and join up!! a new member in the offing i hope

we had them at smcc, granted it wasnt a marque specific club, and so we were able to dish out a lot more, but it gives a better impression of the club than leaving a post-it note on someones windscreen!

I reckon the club should get rubber gloves made with 300ZX.co.uk printed on the back so when you found someone at the roadside with the bonnet up and swearing, you could instanly tell if he was a member or not. You could perhaps include emergency telephone numbers of either techy type guys in the area, for advice, or a taxi service so they could get to a bus/train station and get home.

Can the club please make up a flyer type of doc. that can be saved in the members only pages ..... then we can print them off ourselfs and hand out.. I think that to print 2-3 pages will not hurt every member but will help the club alot!!!

 

This will just be a standard a4 size page that will have all the information on it.. we just fill in the blanks... ie our name or something on the bottom of the page then print.... we can see who reffers the most and in what area is getting the most referrals....

Nice idea I reckon, there's bound to be a few handy photoshoppers and it doesn't cost much to print sheets. Only problem I suppose it it will look pretty cr*p on standard paper which is what most would use. Dave
