Im looking to change the bulbs in my Zed (main dip and side) as they are pretty useless

I have a J-Spec Zed i from what i can gather they dont use H1 bulbs... is that correct?

Do i need H3C bulbs for both main and dip?

Can i put in 100w or 80w Xenon bulbs or do i have to stick to 55w bulbs?

Do main beam and dip beam use the same wattage? are they both H3C?

As you can tell i am rather confused...

UK and Jap use H1 Main beam

UK use H3 Dipped beam

Jap use H3c Dipped beam

You can convert Jap headlights very easily to use H3 bulbs.

Danny @ DTA sells 100w replacement Dipped beam bulbs.

the conversion is easy and I ran the earth from my headlight bulb mount to the body so that dip stays on with the high beam, the hard part is gettin ya hands in there to do it

you are better off getting the H3c bulbs as they are only £1.50 on ebay i went back from uk H3 to H3c what a diff much better.

I bought some H3c PIAA 55w bulbs off the internet, they give out effective 85w.

Gotta say they are massive improvment over the crap that was in there.

cheers guys... i will have a play and see how much trouble i get in... at least they are only bulbes and not expencive..

what bulbs would i use for the side lights at the front where the uk spec indicators are?

what bulbs would i use for the side lights at the front where the uk spec indicators are?

Front side lights are 501 type

Front fog lights are H3 with a spade-to-bullet connector conversion

I have all the above in stock if you're interested.
