The current Centreforce clutch in my car still seems strong but as I've no idea how long it's been in there mileage wise I'm just trying to decide what's best to change it for if it does go?

Looking at both the JWT and RPS street clutches they are both around the same price, but can anyone say which is better or will last longer etc?

Cheers.

a lot of us on here use RPS clutches - had mine in for about 3 1/2 years now.

speak to Smithy who supplies them :)

Install an aluminum flywheel when you replace that clutch. The flywheel and the clutch both should be relaced at the same time.

Wasn't aware of this, what's the reason it has to be done?

a lightened and balanced flywheel, is what he is refering to i think

also a great mod, the engine revs so much more freely

Cheers mate but does it definitely need changed with the clutch, I didn't think it was a compulsory thing.

providing it aint warped i would not think it is compulsory to change it, although it is a great mod and while the box is off getting the clutch changed you may aswell pop a lightened and balanced flywheel on :hyper:

I think you meant: the flywheel should be skimmed or re-ground when fitting a new clutch...?

unless your getting clutch judder or the surface of the flywheel looks poor then theres really no need.

if your intending on getting a l/w flywheel then nows obviously the time to replace it!

but no, not essential!
