This might seem a stupid question but is a carbon bonnet much lighter than a stock alloy one. As the standard one seems very light to me where all zeds fitted with alloy bonnets thanks taff.

no....I've heard reports that its heavier, and that its lighter, perhaps it depends on the weave...either way its very very marginal and since the stock one would float away if you unbolted it, your buying it for looks not weight savings.

Vented ones are heavier than stock, stock look ones (like mine) are about the same, maybe a few grams lighter than stock!
