I have a clifford alarm on my Jap import (Japanese Specification Import) and that is a load of b0llox, he forgot to order it. And if he comes out with that b0ll0x I would be very wary about letting them fit it. IMHO

mines a jap with a UK clifford, the guy is talking out his backside.

Well I have already cancelled with him and booked into a place in Liecester.

The worst thing about it is, I work nights and get home at 07.15 am then I drive 20 miles to a place I can't find to be told that.

I ain't been to bed yet and its now28 hrs without sleep.

I might go get a bottle of Jim Bean!!

Im a clifford installer and there is def no modified alarm for jap spec cars.

I also do mobile installs :)

Paul.

OUCH!!! That sounds like GAP (bodgit & scarper) prices to me

I do believe it is Gap, needless to say far too pricey

As Bob will no doubt agree most expensive is not always best

Exactly, big companys, big overheads with one thing in mind, money! Speak to people who have had systems fitted by Gap who have had a fault and tried to get them out to sort it, not interested, they`ve had your money and don`t give a toss.

I thought youd have heard of them!!

I went out to a mk2 astra gte last week whose owner had paid gap £1100 for a 650p with intelistart only six weeks ago. Car wouldnt start and alarm going off all time and vehicle kept cutting out, doors locking/unlocking. Found alarm thrown in and hanging down behind glovebox, siren loose under bonnet, bonnet/boot trigger not wired, power and immob connections unsoldered, and for some strange reason was running the locking through relays?? but wires wornt crimped or soldered to unneccessary relays but were just wrapped round contacts!!

And that above is just one of many!!

sounds about right for Gap, £1,100.00 !!! people really need to shop round and do some homework. Must drink Horlix through a drip to sleep after fitting that!

Working again now then are we ???

Sorry to hi-jack thread but how much would you guy's have charged to fit a Cliiford G5 to a Z ??

£270 to fit

£700 supply and fit

£270 to fit

£700 supply and fit

Thats an excellent price, I paid £1060.00 for my G4 a few years ago to be fitted and bought with a new window motor (which I reckon was b0ll0x just to increase the price by £60.00.

Clifford prices have dropped slightly since the introduction of G5 but £1000+ is still a lot of cash!

Basically the AG5 is everything that clifford does in the one box, but a competant engineer should be able to instsall and setup in one full working day, so £270 is quite enough for me for a days labour :)

Paul.

270 quid is a fair price for installing the G5 as I fitted my zed with the G5 and took me a couple of days to fit, and thats with buying the serial lead and cliffnet wizard programme and learning to set it up ,mind you I used all the spare channels to operate my solenoid doors and boot release due to not having any door handles lol which took up a bit of time.
