I bought some replacement glow gauges a while back, and I was wondering what the process would be like of taking the dash off and revealing the stock gauges so that i can slip the new ones over?

I believe they go ontop of the old ones. Here is a picture.

How might I go about installing these? On a 1991 NA 2+2?

Would I have to drop the steering column? Which parts of the dash must i remove? I'd like some help! Im pretty new to this kind of thing. If you need anymore information about what im doing just ask so you can better give me advice.

Thanks.

Ok, mine was done by Krsmayo and I watched him fit them and is fairly fiddly. No you don't have to take the steering column off. You start by taking off the 2 side panels on either side of the steering wheel. Then the instrument visor. Then few screws holding the cluster and out it comes. I'm making it sound easy but it really isn't and I have probably missed out a few steps. Do a search on intsrument cluster removal here. Besides are you sure your speedo is calibrated to 160mph ? Those dials look like they are from the US and correct me if I'm wrong but need a resistor of somekind to calibrate for use here.

Shouldn't need to mate. It's a bit of a chew-on but it can be done: just take your time.

Here are mine - still waiting to be fitted to the car.

how'd you get the oil pressure in there? and where are you hooking up your power line? i have a manual car, so i do not have a parking light line.

Noooooooo dont take the needles off what ever you do slide the new gauges up the needle the oil pressure is a pain in the arse but it will happen power line can come off any illumination wire

There is NO way getting oil pressure on without taking SOMETHING off that is over it. trust me i've tried for 2 hours.

and show me a diagram of what i can attach it to, i am new, i apologize.

cheers

Andy......

The power and ground part i do not understand. can you give me a better idea on how to do this part? i tried wrapping the ground wire over the side of the left's copper, and the power to the right copper and just twisted it in, however some rubber insulation is touching. and also, should i remove the bulbs from the others too and just twist them back into place?
