i went to fill up thismorning but no matter how many times i push the lever down the flap wouldnt open :headvswal

any ideas??

get ur mate to hold the lever while u push the hinge corner to open it, then push the square spring thing towards the hinge bending it, this makes it spring open.

 

if it dont open at all with the lever fully down look down the right hand side of the flap with a torch u should see a plastic clip if this isnt moving with the lever your cable is snapped.

I had this problem once and aked my dad what he thought, and he said try it now so I went into the car pushed down the lever, he gave it a thump and job done never had a problem with it since. lol . He said sometimes the hinge comes loose inside and stops them opening but a quick bang sorsts it out. Worth a try.
