i put some DIESEL in the zed at the weekend :headvswal , about 13 litres to a full tank. the plan is to run the tank to nearly empty, then fill up with optimax and some injector cleaner.

im wanting to know the best injector cleaner(petrol additive) to put in when i refill the tank.

Forte if you can get hold of it is excellent. i think its only sold in the trade however

si why not syphon the tank out and then run whats left out, then fill her up with some cleaner also..

 

better than running that lot through the engine and filter.

 

you can get one of these syphon pumps that goes on your drill with two pieces of pipe eiter end, nice and quick to remove that fuel.

Diesel is probably the best injector cleaner you can get in small doses , the car probably will not run and if it does it will misfire and run badly because you will not be able to get the diesel hot enough to run properly , i would be tempted to take off the small panel in the boot and remove the fuel pump then just use a pump etc to drain off the fuel , do not use the starter motor method as you will end up burning it out

the car starts fine and runs suprisingly well at high revs its when your just cruising, the engines misfiring and juddering.

under high revs the combustion temps are much higher making the diesel able to burn more effectively
