I am gradually working through the faults on my car.

When I pull away I get a vibration through my seat upto about 40mph when it clears.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

sounds very much like a possible prop misalignment. i take it you've checked the obvious and made sure ure wheels are all balanced

Definately prop shaft vibration.

It could be either centre bearing, gearbox mount wear or U joint play putting the propshaft out of tolerance!

This is very common in 300's and I've even heard of a new one having this problem after 9k miles.

Mine does it when cold but is fine after about 10minutes driving.

You can get a one piece aluminium propshaft from the U.S for around $360+shipping but I've heard some still have the same problem with vibration.

I'm waiting until Anders UK gets his and gives it the OK ~ lol

Ok OK

I'll flip a coin. Heads I buy, tails I don't buy. If its tails then I guess I'll just have to flip again hehe.

I have looked at the centre shaft bearing and it looks fine but I might try the changing it first as it's cheaper and see how it goes.

Not that I think anyone has aver bothered to try this, but the service manual does show a away to adjust the driveshaft mount to cure minor vibrations. Whether it's a long job or not a good idea I dont' know, but have a read for yourself.

Doing basically anything with the DS aint exactly brain sugery, Pretty simple DIY if you have Jack , stands and a Wrench.

Change the Tranny Mount (6 bolts) and then the CSB kit.

Oh and if you are doing it your self make sure you mark the alignment on the Center section or it will No longer be balanced properly.

If you dont change the Tranny Mount then you are asking for trouble as it does wear out, and will cause the U joints to fail with time. Meaning its One peice DS time baby.
