as much as the compression tester you buy/ borrow to do it ;) Halfords do an ok one fairly cheap - you need to make sure there's enough 'reach' on any you buy for the zed.

Rich

HOW much r they mate, and how does it work

have you used google before type in compression tester and you will get loads of options.

or halfords ect ect

really easy to use bud, dont pay anyone to do it for ya, if you can change plugs your laughing!!,

remove all the plugs, then screw the compression tester in, ( got mine from halfords, the one with the long rubber hose.)

and record the cylinder pressures one by one they should all be something similar, post your readings on here bud we'll sort ya out

But those rear plugs are a right BARSTEWARD to take out, as you have to remove the balance bar etc.

anyone offering to sort me out if i pay them a little visit? :)

You should always do compressions tests wet & dry and make sure you pull the fuel pump fuse. The difference between the 2 tests will tell the condition of your piston rings.
