Now don't laugh at my lack of mechanical knowledge guys..(yeah right..) but I have a suspension question...

I am thinking of changing the suspension on my car. I will need new shocks so that is simple but what elso do I need to buy? I gues the big springy things round the shocks will need to go if I want to lower her slighly!!!

I want to do it as cost effectively (cheap..) as possible so will likely get shocks from Luke but what else would you guys recommend???

See I told you I was mechanically challenged???

Oh yeah...and what are coilpacks and what do they do?...lololol :x:

Coil overs you mean? If that is what you mean, they just expensive(but well worth it) lowering shocks and springs, but they're fully adjustable in a million and one ways or your perfect setup! Choose an exact ride hide, damper level, etc!

On the other hand, if you decide to go with the other option, you will need aftermarket springs if you want to lower the car, you have to specify how much you wanna lower her by!

Option 3 of course, date 2 big birds! One to lower the back of the car, one to lower the front! This option will hinder power depending on just how 'big' you wanna go!

haha, life is too short to date fat birds.....lol

Fat birds need lovin too remember, they apparently give it good, cos they never know when they're gonna get it next! LOL! But still, lets leave the big birds to the big lads, like Rick Waller!

Yes, you'll want to replace shocks and spings. Both will be past their shelf date by now.

You can get aftermarket for about the same cost as original. Smithy sells KYB AGX adjustable shocks for £310 delivered. Very popular, recomended and excellent value for money. Pair a set of Eibach springs with them for a decent setup.

Also have all your suspension bushes checked, and if you have extra pennies left then a set of uprated (stillen or whiteline) Adjustable Anti-roll bars make a superb handling improvement.
