MAS OR AFM air flow meter under nose panel at the front

if there competant to rebuild the engine then they should know what a MAF is,could be many things

ptu

dirty connectors

ecu

leaking injector o-rings,normally accompanied by strong fuel smell and smoke from exhausts, also may put a cylinder down, and run lumpy

YES ITS A GARAGE IN CAMBUSLANG, LOST ALL CONFIDENCE IN THEM, NOT SURE WHAT MY NEXT MOVE IS GOING TO BE WITH THIS CAR AS IVE SPENY 000s ON IT JUST BECAUSE A HOSE BURST.

Hi Mick,

Did you ever phone me a while back, about advice on taking of the bottom timing cover ???

What garage in Cambuslang ??

Alan.........

I wish I could be more helpful, I have had major grief with mine but I am lucky being a mechanic so I tend to kinda fumble my way around with faults. The manual is helpful and handy as its in pdf file format on a cd.

I think as some of the guys have said already it might be a corroded connector onto an injector or maybee the PTU on the offside front of the engine front cam cover, I have had my car running like a bag o shite all because of this too.

HTH All the best

Cheers John Crisp

Agree with John here !

PTU and the connections would be my 1st port of call mate.
