had to post this as i feel just discusted about it

i'm a man utd supporter for my sins :wack: and if anyone watched the liverpool vs man utd game last week end you will know what i'm on about but for those that didnt

i know there is banter between football clubs but this went beyond that!!

there was coin being thrown at the player from the liverpool fans, burgers, other crap, they would not give the ball back and worse they were throwing the ball away from the players which some of the above is kinda funny in a way but the thing that pi55ed me off is there was a serious injury to a man uts player Alan Smith who basically had his leg destroyed, bone sticking out and everything :( and not only were the liverpool fans chanting about it as he was being stretchered off taking the pi55 out of him it turns out that more liverpool fans outside tried to stop the ambulance taking him to hospital!!!!

Just no need and well out of order

Yep, I think people should remember that it is just a game and that there are boundaries and decencies that need to be observed...

build a bonfire, build a bonfire............. you know what I mean.......

Man U fan too..........

One of the guys I work with is a well known football thug. Lists of convictions against his name. He is always arranging the next meet and always goes out and helps other team supporters out.

I think it is disgraceful, after all its only a game. I cant think why anyone gets so passionate about watching football. I loved playing it and still do, got high up at younger levels, but never really been bothered about watching it.

Stupid idiots anyway.

I know what it means mate but TBH i dont get into stuff like that i love football and i did used to be a season ticket holder and i think silly chants are OK some are a little close to the bone but some go way past, every team has them and its upto the supporters clubs to stamp it out?

its true there are sick chants in the stands and you are totally 100% right when you say they should be stamped out BUT THEY NEVER WILL, most of the "songs" are just poking fun at the other supporters and thats part of the fun when your there at the game......

don't even suggest for 1 minute that "real" supporters just sit down and watch the game........ if thats the case if the ground was full of "real" supporters then the atmosphere would be just like a morgue..... :(

football is passion, going to the games is a religion and b***cks to all the "politically correct" people out there who think different.....

SICK CHANTS are wrong !!!! - VIOLENCE is wrong !!!!

the rest of it is perfectly acceptable !!!

cheers

you really do live in a dream world

no i don't read the sun as like some it has trouble writing big words

typical utd fan only reads and hears what they want to hear

i'm not really interested in someone who broke their leg, he is laying there collecting his 50 grand a week, big deal

he broke his leg playing football, occupational hazard but well paid for it

and it isn't me that keeps posting the word SCUM

Manchester United's official website, ManUtd.com, could be the subject

of a police investigation after publishing a hate-filled guide to

abusing Liverpool's players and supporters in Spanish.

Considering relations between the two sets of supporters is volatile at

the best of times with some fans from both teams being subjected to

brutal assaults throughout the years when Liverpool and Manchester

United have met, police are thought to believe the decision to publish

the article on an official website is particularly irresponsible.

The article appears on the club's official website under the section

Fanzone and is billed as "Fanzone presents 'Spanish Scouse-Baiting' as

Benitez's Hispanic Liverpool visit Old Trafford".

The article then goes on to explain the Spanish translations for some of

the sickest chants directed at Liverpool supporters over the years -

including "Build a bonfire, build a bonfire, put the Scousers on the

top", "You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat, in your Liverpool

slums" and "Feed the Scousers. Let them know it's Christmas time."

Alongside each English chant and Spanish translation is a picture of

Rafael Benitez, Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia and Josemi - implying that it

is these four who should be targeted with abuse on Monday night.

While the police may want to talk to someone from Manchester United

about the article, it is believed the website editors are under clear

instructions from those at the very top to make the content of Fanzone

particularly "edgy and controversial" in an attempt to appeal to

Manchester United supporters who would rather get their daily fix of

United news and comment from one of the many independent websites who

have nothing to with the commercial side of the club itself.

Think back a few months when George Best died, some of the forum members expressed their opinion, some I agreed with , some i didn't - some was just downright b****ks........

now, is it ok to say those things on this forum ?, if they were being chanted on the terraces then people would have a lot of disgust - true or not ?

all i'm saying is, if it shouldn't be said then don't say it, on forums or in football - lets be consistent in all this......

George Best was the greatest footballer that ever lived - EVER, even the great man PELE said so, he had a problem and wasn't looked after in his youth like the so called superstar footballers of today, so he had 1 wild party too many and paid the price for his success....... shame no matter who they were...

I don't think anyone has the right to make the comments that were made on the forum about him some time ago, but hey its a free country, no one said then that it was out of order, but if it was chanted on the terraces then I wonder what people would say then ?

right thats my 2 pennies worth - nothing personal guys and girls, ok.....

cheers

Andy....

Well done mate you know how to copy and paste from a website??

as i said in the other thread i SERIOUSLY doubt it would have been on the official website as it would have been all over the news and FA etc may be one of the other non official sites which they have no say so

but if i'm wrong then post a link to it and i will be the first to say its well out of order.

you really cant be a football lover if you say it doesnt bother me if one breaks his leg??? what type of statement is that???

i would never wish that type of injury on anyone how ever much money they earn!!

as i said read the bits that you want

and if you ain't seen it, it aint true

did i say it didn't bother me? i said i'm not interested as i said ocuppational hazard which he is well compensated for, happened to plenty of liverpool players in the last year, have to get on with it

its a bit like listening to mourinnio after last nights game, played off the park, yet

only see's ONE incident, blinded by the colour of his own teams shirts,

and no one else's opinions matter

must dash life calls me

btw MAN UTD ordered the removal of the offending articles because of the uproar, and yes i can find paste and copys if you want

football :- gentlemen's game, played by hooligans.

chants like that are out of order :(

as for Best,

fair enough he was given a 2nd chance, but he choose not to help him self, it was a sad loss but if i am brutaly honest which may offend people, Best didnt deserve a 2nd chance, i dont think so anyway, what about all the other people what would have done ANYTHING to live? it just makes me sick to my stomach that sum1 missed out on a good life cose he chose not to stop the drink or seek help. im pretty sure that there was 100's of offers to help him. who would not want to help him?

pisses me right off when people lilke my mum who didnt do anything wrong dies and best gets a 2nd chance

sorry but thats my view

fair comment mate, you are, of course, right in a way....

but I will say one thing, alchoholism is an illness and an addiction and unfortunately it brings out the worst in people as does drug addiction........ a VERY close friend of mine died through drink, and its not that easy to be "dry", I know it all looks easy as "Phil Mitchell" from Eastenders shows, but at the end of the day it was a lifetime addiction that killed him and i'm sure if he could have chosen not to have become an alchoholic then he would have......

everybody can see someone who is throwing their life away and wish they could give them a slap to wake them up and smell the roses..... and a lot has been said about George and his drink problems and will continue to be said long after his death... still a shame to end like that as it is a shame no matter who you are.

bloody hell, certainly opened a debate this one has hasn't it......

i'm gonna stop now in case it all turns into an argument of some sort and I definately do not want that.......

thanks

Andy...

i see what your saying m8, its a shame its not that easy to make people stop :(

ill leave it at that as well

:)

;)

lol sussed

i don't answer her m8, costs me money everytime i do

as iv'e said in the past football isn't the life and death scenario shankly spoke about, and as much as i like to see my team doing well, i realised a long time ago they lose they lose, they win they win THAT'S IT

doesn't effect mine or my families lives, they don't come knocking on my door when life throws a spanner in the works asking are we ok, so i certainly don't lose any sleep in how they are doing spending all their dosh

again as iv'e said before i used to follow them all over the world, but far more important things happening now

sport is just that!!!!!!!!!!!

what i should have also added, is because it's alan smith this matter has been brought into the news, there are idiots attacking the emergency services every day all over the country, it seems that normal now it doesn't even reach the news, these are the people we should be getting behind

not because the ambulance was carrying someone "famous"

last night i highlighted a true scumbag, and not one person seemed to have any outrage for it? so hence my apathy
