Right then - I've decided to fit some addtional gauges to my NA and have decided upon Oil temp, Oil pressure and Water Temp. I will be looking at locating them in the spare DIN slot beneath the head unit.

My question is: what are the advantages/disadvantages of both capillary and electrical gauges????

I'm erring towards electrical ones at the mo as I perceive these to be easier to fit.

All comments, critcisms, observations, personal recommendations and experience welcomed................................

electrical uuse senders you have to mount on the engine and you run cables to the gauges with mechanical you have fixed capillary's on the rear of the gauges that you need to run which you cant cut or extend

Wires are going to be easier to feed than tubes.

I think im going to go electrical after thinking about it.

i find electrical ones more hassle than there worth, good old fashioned mechanical gauges are better IMO and easy to fit,the amount of electrical gaues iv fitted that dont work correctly  ,i guess if you spend the money on quality gauges like defi or greddy then its money well spent when its your engine at stake :wack:
