Recircs, Safely Remove?

One of my recircs is making a "woo" kind of noise now and then so i'm guessing it's past it's used by. Anyway, i was thinking of just removing them so is it safe to do so? i'm assuming it is as i'm only running 1 bar or so. Will i end up with fuelling probs, i.e. running too rich?

If it's ok to remove them what's the best way of going about it?

cheers.

If you want to destroy your turbos, then just remove them.

if you don't then leave them alone :D

The stock recircs are good up to 2.5 bar of boost, they only downside is the weird sound

if you want to get rid of the "whoo" sound, there are recircs available in the US with different springs, or you can replace them with dump valves.

Kev,

I replaced mines with baileys dump valves (£220 al inc). I could give you my old ones if that helps for you, dont think they were making that noise. But I think you would be better getting new dumps

get the uprated recircs, absolutly, catagorically, no silly noises

right i'll probably go for the uprated recircs then, not too fond of dump valves to be honest. the reason I asked is i've seen a few turbo cars running more boost without any recircs/dumps/bov's etc.

cheers for yer help!

don't know how i'd describe the noise really.. have any sound clips of a goose honking recirc that I can compare it to?
