When they fail to hold boost and/or, burn lots of oil (shagged seals).

what do you mean by not holding boost, i.e. what actually happens?

Means they don't hold boost...ie, they don't spool up and hold pressure. Worn impellar blades and bearings on the way out.

Speak to Legrath, he had to adjust his BOVs. They need to open at the right time and close when off boost.

My money is on Boost leaks :) How far does your stock gauge go up to (not that it probably matters as they can be very vague..mine went off the scale on stock boost!)

Give them more than 7 minutes dude....it's gone mid-night. ;)

Fuel smell inside car indicates common fuel-line leaks...although your fuel consumption does'nt indicate running rich.

Time to visit a specialist.

M8, it sounds like you have got some serious issues, get it to a proffesional.......get it sorted once and for all. You will enjoy it fully then. Whe they are on top form they are fantastic, when they are playing up they are b******s. You can spen a fooooooking fortune. Short cut is proper diagnosis, no guessing...

Just sounds like you need to get it checked over, needs some new fuel lines (common on Zeds) and setting up properly.

Dont know Mac

I may have missed something, when you say "its not running right", what are the probs you're actually having? ie, lack of power/uneven power etc.
