It's just the general feeling you get when you hear some kid reving his car to get the valves to blow off....which can come from anything from a fiesta RS turbo sat in McDonalds car park etc....like I said, they are ok, but whenever I hear, them, that's the kind of thing they remind me of.

ive got them but i can remember the last time i set them off, due to having and auto. only installed them due to induction kit causing annoying goosehonk

each to his own i guess, i had a dump valve on my s13, and i did love the sound, but i didnt think it made any performance increase. as for anyone that wants rid of there dump valves give me an email jack_finn-kelcey@hotmail.co.uk as im after a set for my zed.

Hit the nail on the head pal. Who can honestly say they don't hammer it when burning past a chav pack? Having a motor like this is 70% show 30% driving experience. You certainly don't get to use the power a lot on these b*****d British roads!

 

I think dump valves appeal to the fast and furious in all of us. Also, who cares if it reminds people of RS turbo's. They'll be pleasantly surprised when they look up and see a phat Japanese beastie hissing away.

 

They're on my list whether i get called a boy racer or not, (i think part of me is!) :shock:

just seems that once it gets so high up the revs it was holding back as if there was a blockage somewhere
