Water presure will let you know if your pump, rad cap is failing, most inportantly if you head gasket is going (which they do as these cars get older or if you've just sprung a leek etc. It all come down to how much you've spent on your car, what kind of extra power your putting through your car and wether you think anything on your cooling system is stretched.

 

I have an after market big rad and bigger turbos etc. So to me monitering water and oil pressure are just as important and temps.
