Does anyone have any experience of upgrading their grey cloth seats and trim to leather?

 

I see Z centre does custom set and so do AtozZ toys. Are these the same? What's the quality like?

 

Luke, if you're watching, are Z centre's full leather or vinyl backed?

 

Does anyone know an upholsterer in Hants area who will fit it all?

 

Anyone interested in a group buy?

Coogs - from what I hear, SteamyZ's work (ZtoyZ) is very good, but he takes forever to deliver (bank on 4+ months!).. I've emailed him in the past though, and he seems like a fair guy..

 

Not sure how long Luke would take to deliver etc.. but if you were going from a kit from there - if it's proper leather (not vinyl backed) - then I might well be interested in a group buy... my interior sucks!

He only got the tweeters on the doors cos he can move very quick for a big bloke with a bargain in sight!......rofl.

There are basically 3 options. Find a local upholsterers and get them to do it. I think this is what senna has done. Great quality, all hand made, lotsadosh. (£1500) Correct me if it's wrong matey.

Buy a katzkin cover from Z centre. They have custom Z kits leather with a bit of vinyl. They have pleats whiich you may like but i don't.

Or a leather kit from ztoyz in the US.3 different kits- vinyl, vinyl/leather, or full leather. Ranges from good value to lotsadosh.

 

2 tone colours are available on all of them.

 

Luke can't do much with a GB as his margins don't really allow it. Ztoyz will do free shipping, free 2 tone, and free logo. About $150 off. Thats for 3 kits. If we get more we can haggle.

 

The full leather is about $1100. The leather/vinyl backed is $749. Vinyl only $599. This is for front seats, trim, ebrake and shifter boot. This includes 2 tone leather and a Z logo. Rear seats are another $200. See www.ztoyz.co./interior.html for pics, colours and specs.

 

The leather/vinyl combo is best value and the one i am currently favouring. Trawling tt.net the opinion is that the vinyl is very leather like. The front seat facings are real connely leather the trims, back seats and seat backs are vinyl. This is a reaonable compromise for price. TT.Net opinion says that Katzkins are great but Ztoyz are better quality and avoid the pleats. And the leather/vinyl kit is similar price. Of course you'll need to add on VAT (lovely chaps) and it is recommended that a pro fits them.So thats labour costs.
