Ive spent today outside stripping the top end down on my ZXTT,as a newcomer to this engine my advice so far to anyone else about to do the same job is allow plenty of time mark everything you take off carefully as there are a lot of pipes brkts sensors to remove just to rech the head.At the moment ive removed timing belt,inlet manifold & collector,camcovers, Tomorrow i hope is down to the heads Any tips from this stage to head removal would be much appreciated,

Probably a difficult one this Mike as there are not many on this site who would have done this. Maybe Adrie or Henri??

 

I've been as far down as the camcovers in mine but not needed to go any further.

 

I would guess from my previous strip down that the removal of the heads would be easier than the plenum?

Thanks for your reply Steve, i was beginning to wonder why no one was replying to previous posts. What a job !! What a challenge!! My advice to any DIY mechanics is pay someone else to do it if you can afford it. When finished i`ll spend some time posting a guide on the forum to help others.
