Agreed, you'll notice it and go 'oh, it's a supra.' But whenever I used to see Zeds in the rear view mirror, (before I got one), I was like....that does look so nice...double takes galore.

I think another reason is the line of succession on these cars.

 

The 350z came out 2-3 years ago now and you can pick up imports from £13k (just). Around 3 years ago that was the price of a late spec convertible ZX. The lowering prices of the 350z will inevitably have an effect on the price of the 300zx (the "old style" Z-car)

 

The Supra and 3000gt have no successor - they are still the latest model of their type and not having a newer version above them depreciating more heavily, depreciate slower themselves.
