calipers advice

well i was going to do the breaks today but after taking the pads out i saw that there is loads of pad left on them so i dont need to change them yet.

however, i dont think the calipers look too healthy, and i think that it might be time to give them a service. where can i buy the seal kit for the fronts and rear calipers from please. im looking to do this myself , i remember there was a link that had a detailed explanation and pics on how to do this, anyone remember??

here are pics of the one caliper both sides of pots, i checked the one caliper then left the others till i do the seals and service them.

thanks

Well they're a bit grubby, but unless you have evidence that one or more of the pistons are sticking then I'd leave them be.

well i dont think they have ever been changed or looked at, and its one thing that i want to do, theres so much on the car i cant do, so this is one thing i want to be able to do.

the seals will only last for so long so now is as good as a time to do some preventative work!! and i get to get rid of all the crap break fluid and get some fresh stuff in there..

i found the link i wanted!!

Well I agree that PM is a good thing, but if it ain't broke etc ....

However, changing the fluid is always a good thing.

those seals are 15years old... im sure they were meant to be changed way before now..

also i want to clean everything out in the wheel wells and change the pipes in there for new also, i intend to replace every fookin crappy hose and tube on the car as i have had several go on me since owning it..

once bitten twice shy!!!
