I would claim could of been a kid or your eye it might look ok to you but what if your hair dont grow back lol claim. :)

true, but suing won't turn back time or fix the cut in bird's head. as long as the staff have apologised and learned their lesson [ie. fixing the light more securely] (and offered some appeasement in the form of chips ;) ) thats as far as i would take it.

what shop was did this happen in bud, whereabouts was it

Just pay for your chips bud like everybody else has to. LOL :duffer:

im right with you there Mines  these no-win no-fee lawyer tossers are partly what's bringing this country down. would you sue your mate if you tripped on his doorstep or got bitten by his dog???

Keeping your chin up and just taking it is what makes (what's left of us) British.

Suing means "someone help me im a ponce and i cant do anything for myself :mac1: "

Total agreement with this as well.

Sure, businesses are obliged to carry liability insurance to indemnify them against this type of thing. But hey, you weren't badly hurt so walk away.

If you had been seriously injured and couldn't work for weeks then fair enough, a claim is necessary. Accidents and shit happens so we live with it. Bird, you sound like you're doing the decent thing mate and I'm with you.

As for those of you encouraging Bird to sue, you should be ashamed of yourselves!

Unnecessary claims ultimately increase the public liability insurance of all businesses. Those of you who run your own business will suffer through higher premiums, which filter through all business. The end result is the businesses need to preserve their profits and pass on this extra cost to their customers. It affect us all indirectly in the end :(

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
