Some of you may have remembered that my car door was damaged while parked in a car park which I have to pay for.

I went to the security and they said they are not responsible for the damage.

Well, I looked into the situation and found a law called Bailment which means temporary turning over possession of property, and while that property is in the hands of others, measures must be made to care for property. Failure to care for the property is classed as neglect.

I wrote to the owners of the car park telling them this, and giving a list of things which I classed as neglect.

Gaurd not patroling,

Cameras not pointing up the car park,

Only able to park at the top of the car park cos the closer places where reserved for visitors,

Holes in the parimeter fence,

Today I recieved a letter from the car parks insurance company saying they are looking in to it and will get back to me with their findings.

 

Its a start. I've been getting worried cos there has been a hole in my door over christmans and water is getting into it and I cant really afford to get it fixed at the moment. So I hope they hurry up.

Good effort mate, we have a similar problem where I work. Loadsa people were getting their cars broken into and when they asked for the camera footage our company had to inform the injured parties that the cams were dummy!!! FFS!!!

 

Now I know why only permies are allowed to park on sight and contractors have to use the main car park off site! This is a company that build fucking satellites for fucks sake! You'd have thought that they could stretch to some real security cameras for the people who keep them in business...wankers!

I was really busy then, xmas shopping, exams, and I went away to the week end for my birthday which was the week before. Sorry I must have missed it in my haste.

 

CheerZ getting one from AndyZ. It was gonna be grey but I asked if his new car is red can I have the red one.

 

About that filter. I am instrested but it could be a while before I can afford anything. Credit card at limit, £1500 into over draft and I will have to pay for the door to be fixed and them claim it back. There is too much water getting in, and I am starting to see rusty water dribbling out.

I had exactly the same done to mine outside the house but the alarm went off as soon as the door popped,

Bought a new handle and lock from Nissan - they come ready painted to your colour, think it was about £120 for both plus about another 30 squids to have the lock barrel changed to match the other locks which i thought was worth doing to avoid having an extra key.

If the door itself is not damaged (which luckily mine wasn't) it's fairly easy to swap out.

Just take the door trim off and it's all pretty easy from there - you could do it in an afternoon easy.

 

My CAT 1 alarm didnt go off.

The gits used a screw driver inder the lock and lifted up, and bent the door around the lock too, as well as the door being scratched cos the lock was hanging out and must have scraped against the door. I think I may have it delocked.

Also they had a look at the boot and ripped the lining of it. The bottom of the wing where the black sticker goes on has been ripped and is all bent up and looks awful.

Gonna pay for the door and claim back and then find out about the cost of the boot repair and then IF they take responibility, get them to pay for that.

car nickers are to be shot when they either nick the car or damage it trying...

Shooting is too good for them. How about torn to shreds and fed to something higher up the food chain (like maggots!)
