IL ZX,

There is no oil temp sender on a 300zx. you need to get a sandwich plate between the oil filter and block. Then fit the aftermarket sender that came with your gauge.

edk83 , thanx a lot for answer ! how do you think if i'll just make kind of adapter on pipe before the oil cooler ?

oil pressure sender is underneath bottom left to the back of engine, i have been thinking of finding out if there is a combined oil pressure and temp sender out there then i would fit a temp gauge as well

actually i don't want to use plate 'cuz it can leak. and many people sayn to me that it always leak. so i just wanted the safe method...

It has a rubber seal on the mating face against the block. The plate is then tightened up against the block using the bolt, then you hand tighten the oil filter to this plate, again with a rubber seal. As long as everything is tight, and the rubbers have a smear of oil on them, how can it leak?

The problem comes with bad installation and maintenance. At the end of the day, if the job isn't done properly, it'll **** up!!

Totally agree, mine never leaked ever. It has rubber seals.

okay then, for the time that i'll wait the plate (i need to order it :( ) i can use my greddy gauge as water temp.. can i install this sensor somewhere radiator or smth ???

Water temp sender............

Either an adaptor pipe from the top rad pipe, or a bose welded onto the top pipe off the front of the block. Then screw the sensor into that, job done.

Daves_Zed, thanks a lot ! i'll try to do it !

Boss welded on top of solid block pipe...

And an in-line pipe adaptor...

I had the in line one fitted for a while but caused problems as the top rubber water pipe has different diameters at each end, when you cut a section out to fit the inline adapter it,s a snug fit one end but a very loose fit the other meaning you have to try and squeeze the gap shut using a jubilee , but you end up doing them so tight they can cut into the rubber pipe and cause a failure :nono:

Lucky for me i was only round the corner from the Z Centre when it failed
