Im assuming the little pop - up things under the targa roof is some kind of wind deflector type thing. Does it actually do anything or can i just bin them ? Not massive weight saveing but they dont look great and dont seem to do much.

 

(searched the wieght forums, but it got a bit too aggresive for me with ripping out seats etc.. have removed the extra weight in the boot lid and hoping to bin the above, just wondering if there is anything else obvious ?

I took mine off cos one was broke, and can honestly say it made not one iota of difference to the wind noise!!

Remove them. I did remove mine.

 

The benefit from it is that when you cruise around with T-tops off you dont hear the wind blowing over your head. With those craps on you hear it.

right they will be gone as of tomorrow... anything else i can throw off my zed lol...

always wondered what those damn things were. one of the arms on my driver's side one has snapped.

iv got an idea... wire em up to a motor, then a push button in the dash and use em for an electrically ejecting roof :wack:

If you are 6ft 5'' like me you need them to keep the wind off your chin. Head still pokes out though.

lol thankfully only 6ft1 so copeing nicely without them...
