Probably mostly aimed at the guys looking at NOS, but heard great things about Intercooler sprays... think they use CO2 or NOS and they cool the Intercooler simply by spraying the vanes... this in turn (obviously) reduces the temp of the air going through... meaning you could run more boost on stock turbos as the heating isnt such an issue...

Just wondering if they worth the cash or the NOS be better going into the cylinders....? Also does the Zed have much space round the coolers for something like this / bigger wing mounted coolers?

I think water injection would be a cheaper option than using NOS for that reason.

co2 not expensive though is it? water injection ive no idea how good it is... just seemed a great idea to spray the cooler to keep it cool to me...

...the Austrailians did this but long term decided against it as the intercoolers work as a heat soak, so you can't just turn on the spray when you want, especially in everyday driving as you need to cool the intercoolers over a long period - and they found that they quickly ran out of water.

...this is from memory of an article I read.

Sabb used to squirt water into the intake manifold to cool the head and pistons and then run more boost...

before anyone corrects me, I'm out of my depth and drive a NA Z.

Good luck

CO2 Intercooler cooling has been around for a bit now. great idea! really only for short bursts like 1/4 miles, especially as water cooling is no longer allowed because of the mess it makes on the strip!

anyone have some prices or links to co2 cooling for the intercooler... also appart from damping down the stirp you have to carry lots of water round.. and too be honest feel like my zed is heavy enough lol...

seen it done, but only at top speed runs, 1/4 miles events etc. if your building a full blown drag car for shows then maybe consider it but otherwise how often r u gonna use it?

dont know really, surly use it about as much as anyone that uses NOS on the road.. how often does anyone actually use it?
