Just noticed that when flicking through windows explorer, my documents etc I'm getting an icon flickering in the task bar on the bottom right.

Looks like a clapper board and says 'Ogg DirectShow Filter' when I can manage to hover over it before it disappears.

Any ideas what this is, I've not noticed it before? A quick google brings up a load of codec stuff.

Cheers

Pete

Sounds like Spyware mate. Get a decent spyware killer. Like spybot free form http://www.download.com Or you could invest in the lastest norton internet security software. I did and to be honest. its the best £50 i have spent since I subscribed to this forum.

Hope this helps mate

It's not SpyWare as such and it can be removed - full info here Pete ;)

Or the short version...

To uninstall Ogg DirectShow Filter, click OggDSuninst.exe in the C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder.
