Just heard Apexi in Japan have gone bust!! also heard there in talks with a taiwan company to buy them but nowt as yet?? also veilside are not far off going as well!!

no other way unfortuatly!! there trying to charge double the price for remaining stock so i have been told which is a right arse as im about to buy an apexi power FC?!?!

bad news if they have.. damn good stuff apexi!!

i heard the same about vielside last october when i was looking for my skirts

the guy who told me said it was just vielside japan that was goin bust but the USA side of vielside was ok

The latest is somoen is looking to buy Apexi. Not sure what they'll get but I doubt the brand has much value, maybe just some of the intellectual property.

funny enough no the other way round i have a hks fcon with a map sensor at the moment but going to a twin maf skyline setup. i was going for the djetro power fc but was talked out of it so gonna stick with AFMs for the time being :)

I thought that already happened last year ? hence the name change to Apexera (since they were bought by another company)

yeh i know they went through this last year but aparently its happened again!! lots of suppliers are struggling to get parts and are being told that if they do want anything theres upto a 50% surcharge!!

 

been told today that the main places are still being suplied at the moment but ive got them to hold a power fc for me :)

I agree with Eric - the A'PEXi brand was bought by APEXERA last year. I've just enquired with a source in Japan and although he can't say anything about the global operations of APEXERA, they are still in business in Japan and there are no indications that they will cease operating or even be subject to a bankruptcy proceeding.

 

I think this is yet another of those internet "chinese whispers" things.
