I think TT Tim has it, and afaik he is the only member on here who does.

i have been thinking about getting it for a while, i do a fair amount of driving around small a roads and b roads and sometimes the auto just doesnt quite cut it.... trouble is i have an aftermarket wheel with a cr*ppy boss with no cruise buttons at the moment, so need new boss and the cruise buttons sorted before this works to the top of my list.... i would be interested to see it in action as the website promises alot...

depends on your driving i guess but like i said lnes the auto box doesnt quite cut it to be honest...

I think Mike Groves has/had the latest version on his car - not sure though. It's an excellent piece of kit and I've seen it in action on a 1/4 mile track - bloody quick upshifts! The latest itteration is probably worth having although the price is quite high.

$990

Cheaper than a manual conversion! with the option to use as a normal auto as well...

thats why im tempted to be honest... auto for long lazy drives but paddles for when the auto doesnt cut it... need to generate some cash though but if we could get enough interest sure they would do a Group buy.. must be 5 or 10 people here with autos interested..?

not strictly true... since you usually convert when the autobox gives up the ghost, which it quite likely still will after you've put SAW on!!

I have just rebuilt my Auto g/box to take some extra welly i intend to put through it, and i dont like the way that the HKS ALC controls it, so i might fit the saw, at least i will be able to conrol the line pressures through the g/box rather than a fixed pressure all the time and cook the oil and g/box, and change gear at peak power rather than just let it endstop on the rev counter, and you can still change gear with ya foot fully on the gas, i think this is the way to go for the Auto guys, even if you hav'nt rebuilt your g/box yet.

If you look at the price of the HKS ALC £200 + then this aint to bad for what you are getting. I will deffo be intrested in a group buy so count me in guys..

my box has had a recent rebuild as well and is silkly smooth during changes so fancy this over teh ALC which by all accounts isnt great for the boxes...

Anyone bit more informed with the club fancy emailing the makers and seeing if they will sort us out...? Or not enough interest?

Also, how do you guys seeing this effecting your insurance..? not a performance mod but would still have to be declaired.?

I thought the ALC was designed to improve gearchanges on the auto box?

Do a forum search for "Shift at Will" (with the quotes!). There are loads of threads on it.

It is designed to quicken shifts at wide-open-throttle (WOT). It does this by keeping the line pressure constant rather than backing it off slightly during the shift. This can, if you box isn't in top condition, speed up the box's deterioration. It also means that normal shifts, especially on the over run, can be a bit rough. An ALC is typically something for the 1/4 mile boys looking to decrease shifting time.

all sounds good from the posts i read...

Sounds good to me as well.

Can anybody think of a drawback, apart from the price? LOL

Had an email from the manufactures today (only sent it last nite) and they deffo recomend a large oil cooler for the gearbox as it does generate a lot of heat, but you can monitor the temp of the g/box with the temp guage that is incorparated with the kit.

The more i read about this the more i like it.....watch this space.....

Hmmm ... sorry Mike - I must have confused you with someone else.
