is it normal for my lifty up thing (between the two seats used for storage and cant think of the word) to be finished in tweed as i have leather? it just looks a bit odd.

Yes, and I regularly swear and curse at mine for looking so silly.

Courtesy Nissan sell a leather version, so it may have been swapped for that, or like a lot of us do and retrim it and the rest of the panels.

IIRC the UK spec series 2 cars had the arm rest cover replaced with leather to match the seats.

 

Otherwise yes, the trim was all tweed.

put some half inch foam on the arm rest before you cover it and is really comfy. my brother did mine. only took him 30mins. best half hours work i've had done!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the ZX cockpit how i can have the right elbow on the door ledge thing and the left elbow on the centre storage lid - and have both hands on the steering wheel. The ZX has the best cockpit of any car i have been in. I dont like the modern cars silver plastic flash gordon-esque look.
