I have recently purchased these alloys from Nad300 :http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=63722 In total I ended up paying £350.00 as agreed then he wanted an extra £27.50 for postage £377.50 all together. Alloys arrived last wednesday I opened them up and there was a cap missing from the rear wheel(not to bothered) then I opened the front 2 and curbed does not come close, they where grinded all around the edges and there was corosion in the corners of the spokes  I phoned Nad and he said that the cap is probably missing as RM open all there parcels to check for drugs and it probably fell out then. He then said the alloys where in good condition but the most he could refund me was £40. which I agreed even though the cost of refurbing was £45 a wheel cash no VAT £180 total, so I thought well £40 is about half of the cost of having the front two alloys refurbed. So I took them down there same day and left alloys with them. Yesterday I went down to see how they are getting on with the wheels thats when I noticed the condition of the tyres 3 of them where very badly worn, so I went next door to a company called Save on Tyres and they came over with me to look at the alloys and said the rears are 8j same as the fronts and the widest tyre recommended for a 8j alloy is 245mm width these have 255/40/17 rear and 235/40/17 front so I could not get 255/40/17 Goodyear f1 gd s3 tyres on them that I was after(even though in Nads description tyres have 4-5mm tread on all tyres) I phoned Nad and said I wanted a refund and I was going to send the alloys back, he said he would not except that and he did'nt lie, and that he has spent the money  He said that the tyre place was lieing and that you can fit 255 tyres on safely and he would phone them and ring me back. When Nad rang me back he said that save on tyres said that all other 255/40/17 tyres would fit just not the Goodyears. I went down there again the chap on the counter said Nad rang and the chap had tried explaining you need 9J alloys to except 255 tyres but Nad slammed the phone down on him.I will be taking the wheels to yet another tyre specialist who I have rang and asked whats the widest width tyre on a 8j alloy and suprise suprise 245mm. He will also measure the tyre depth on all the wheels that I will photograph and post. The only reason I have posted tis as I have just found this thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=59007 posted in october giving an even falser description of these fookin alloys    I do not want anybody else on the forum getting stung  And I will be seeking further compensation once I find out that 3 fookin tyres need replacing.  Thankyou all for reading this I am going to down a few :duffer: :duffer: to calm me down. If there are any typo's in this you can see why.

Hope you get a suitable outcome on this one, the main problem is different people have different ideas on what a bit of curbing is.

thats why i slated my wheels so i wouldn't end up with a pi55ed off member saying the same about my wheels

Honestly i cant believe this before peeps start taking sides theres always to sides to a story, the wheels had marks on the front two which most wheels have, not chunks missing etc as speedemon is describing i put up pics of each wheel before he bought them, so when he rang me and said he wasnt happy we agreed that james would get a price for a refurb and get back to me, he rang me back and said that i should refund him £40 back and he will be happy with that so i sent him a cheque for £40, then i got another call from him saying that he cant use a 255/40/17 tyre on a 8j wheel, now ive used same size tyre on these alloys for the past 3yrs without problems and gone through 3 mots dont you thing that if their were the wrong tyres in them 3yrs someone would have pointed out that a 255/40/17 tyre is not suitable for a 8j wheel,so i rang several tyre places to confirm and all said that they have never had a problem fitting 255/40/17 tyres on a 8j wheel ive spoken to chunk and pmed mac1 as far as im concerned havnt done anything wrong

Sorry to heat of more unhappy trading. I hope you guys can sort it amicably. Dave
