If you consider the cost of a new laptop then spending £30 is quite a bargain? Buy the software and keep your computer safe. Norton do a fantasic deal on the whole internet security system from PC world. Stop cutting corners mate and get it installed. you wont regret it.

If it is the same one i had, its spyware, not a virus, which adds services to your startup and changes your IE startpage (a site called spywareaxe or similiar) use a decent spybot rather than a virus hunter

thats the one spyware, so i should use a decent spybot.

thanks for all the advice lads.ur a gr8 help
