Two questions really.

At what boost do stock injectors become no good?

And

Can the stock injectors be recalibrated to flow more than stock?

and i dont think so

group buy on 555's?

;)

will be replacing mine as part of the build - wouldnt have thought there would be much price difference between stock and smithys 555 prices?

surely the capabilities of the 370's can be extended by increasing the fuel pressure?

I would guess it could, to a degree, but the problem would be running them at 100% duty constantly. If you need to increase flow rates, you're in to fairly involved tuning and, IMHO, shouldn't be trying to cut corners.

Rich

best advice for most turbo cars is not to run the duty cycle above 90% and 95 at a real push.. boosting the fule pressure wont change the duty cycle of the injector, all it will do is make sure that should the injectors need to work upto 100% that fuel is always availble to them.

Unfortuantly the only way forward IMHO is to go up injector sizes, sadly not cheap due to the req.fuel comp/ecu upgrade.

Hoi takemetothepub!

Are you listening?

There is no cheep way of revamping the 300zx tt lump.

Cheepest and best up grade is V8 lump such as Chev 5.7 (only 2 valves percylinder), Ford 5.5 (millions of bolt ons for this motor and kits available in the states supplying everything needed to convert your Z) and the Nissan 4.5 as with Ford loads of bolt ons including turbo's if your mad enough to want em. Serious power a lot cheeper than revamping the original engine.

LOL!! not everyone wants to take the engine out & bung a V8 in you know

hats off to people that try it but i for one wouldnt rip out a perfectly good tunable engine to fit another variety in!

pm eric lymon, he will know for sure nick

Skyline injectors are 444cc, Pulsar 440cc, RX7 Gen 2 460cc, dunno if any of them fit the zed though :D

if its any help i've set up a few apexi s-afc2's on skylines should anyone take this route... this unit SHOULD make it possible to run 555's (or similar) efficiently, altho obviously a programmable ecu would be ideal..

this may of course ALL BE *****X... its spot on for the skyline but maybe rubbish for the 300...

also, what feed/impedence are the 300 injectors as i think thats the important part...

Yeah those I mentioned above are all top feed & low impedance, dunno what zed ones are, side feed I think
