not having a very good day with my Z i am.started up my Z earlier and while waiting for it to warm up my hicas light came on. power steering oil must have been low so topped it up with some oil.the light went away.took it out for a spin and while driving smelt petrol.didnt take enough notice of it until the smell got worse.parked up and opened my bonnet and the engine smelt of nothing but petrol so believed there was a leak somewhere.started looking around if i could find anything.got to the top middle section of the engine and found the area wet under a couple of pipes.thats where the petrol leakage is and the petrol is dripping out there quite quick so thought id best take this thing back home.go bak and sit in the car and find my hicas light back on.checked my power steering oil and it was low.so now i think ive got a power steering oil leak as well.

any suggestions before i take it to the specialist and dig another whole in my pocket???

Power steering fluid is most likely been lost from high pressure line from the pump to the rack, best to get the peipe rebuilt at a hydrolics place as the part is like £130+ from Nissan.

The fuel pipes to have a tendancy to leak at the clips and some times tightening them up gives a tempory cure, they can also leak at the seam on the pressure regulator.

Remove the throttle cover and with a phillips screwdriver go round all of the clips and nip them up, pay special attention to the pipes below the pressure regulator and the pipe under the throttle cross shaft, a long slim screwdriver will help.
