Right before i go and spend 2 large ones on new tubs then ok do a compretion test. sunday afternoon hour later no rush ive finnally got all plugs out so far so good all six NGK/R.. PFR6B-11C PLUGS LOOK OK AND MORE THE SAME.Now do i replace plugs are these the right ones ond before comp test do i have to put the inlet mainifold two rear holes back coverd up before test?

11c is normally for a NA ngk 11b are the slightly cooler ones you want ideal for a TT

 

As for covering up the intake,just remove the fuel pump fuse before you start so you dont get a faceful of fuel :wack: remove all plugs then do comp test

You should warm the engine up before you do a compression test and maybe have your battery well charged up/on charge, so that your drop in battery levels doesn't compromise your compression readings.

Im o so happy :dance: done compretion test on a engine that has not been started for over a week because in doing tailgate mods Any how ever single cylinder reads on cold engine 135 lbs and there no diffrence hardly at all between the lot im happy :dance: :dance: Now then, is that good enough for some descent tubs?

11-b is the "usual" NGK plug and is for tt's serviced in UK. 11-c is the plug given to the US cars and has a very slightly longer shroud than the B to help avoid even further causes of detonation. G is the plug for N/A's and the temp of plugs is denoted by the number 5,6 or 7. As you know 5 is stock, 6 is the ideal cooler plug and 7 for those over 500bhp or running NOS, too cold is not good. So if Sinclair is a TT, he's spot on ;)

135 lbs what is your opinion for 1990 man tt,is it good enouth for better tubs or not?car is decatted and has valve hks timmer fitted? :bow:
