your ign. timing could have changed if you removed the CAS during the belt change and didn't put it back exactly the way it was on before

    YES! But only if the timing had been adjusted in the past to take in to account the belt stretch as it get`s older, if it has and a new belt is fitted correctly then the timing WILL be out, always , always the timing should be checked with a timing gun after a cam belt change, surprising how many garages do not do this :(
